Worcester, Massachusetts celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community with PRIDE in September! In conjunction with Worcester Pride, the Mary Cosgrove Dolphin Gallery at Worcester State University presents the “Open Doors” Exhibit.
My original watercolor painting, “Love is Love Birds” will be on display from September 7th through October 14th, 2023 along with many other amazing works by local artists. This piece celebrates queerness and diversity in nature with a loving depiction of two male eastern bluebirds. Eastern bluebirds are some of the many species of birds observed by scientists in nature as having homosexual members of their species.
I’ll be selling “Love is Love Birds” and donating 20% of the sold price to GSA Link in Northborough, MA. They are a wonderful local organization that works with LGBTQAI+ youth in the area. Contact me directly if interested in buying.
The art reception is Thursday September 7th at 4pm. The exhibition is open all month and into October. I hope you can stop by!
