This painting was created based on a prompt from Stephanie Law's Undying Tales Project. The Sierra Nevada Red Fox is one of the most endangered species of fox in the world. They are related to the common red fox, but they are smaller and more equipped to handle rocky terrain and snowy conditions. Their range is limited to the Sierra Nevada and southern Cascade Mountains. This piece was created with watercolors and gouache. The original is 9x9" in size, painted on 300lb. Fabriano watercolor paper. If you are interested in purchasing the original, please contact me.
