"Life Among Decay" Original Signed Art Print, Matted (8x10" matted to 11x14")
- Description
"Life Among Decay" was inspired by a walk on the Black Pond Trail in Harvard, MA. Along the quiet Black Pond trail lay many logs and stumps of rotting trees, long fallen and long dead. But, among this death and decay, it is teaming with life. Fungus, lichen, moss, ferns, bugs, birds, and other animals—all taking advantage of the nutrients this decay provides. All life must die, but among that death, new life springs forth. This piece was inspired by the hidden and wondrous pieces of living nature all growing among the decay of the forest.
This piece was recently featured in the "View Finder" exhibition at the ArtsWorcester Gallery in Worcester, MA.
The original art was created with watercolors, colored pencils, gouache, and gel pen on hot pressed watercolor paper. You are purchasing a matted and signed print of the art. To inquire about purchasing the original painting, please contact Victoria.
