Amanita Magic ORIGINAL Art Fly Agaric Mushrooms Painting with Iridescent Details - FRAMED
- Description
NOW AVAILABLE FRAMED! And ready to hang!
"Amanita Magic" is an original watercolor, gouache, and pen painting by Victoria K. Chapman. The Amanita muscaria mushroom, also known as Fly Agaric is the classic red toadstool seen throughout fairytales and classic illustrations. It's a poisonous species native to several parts of the northern hemishphere including North American and Europe and is most frequently found in pine and birch forests. Because of its bright red coloring and fun white spots, this mushroom has the feel of a magical fairy forest, which informed this painting's name. Inspired by the documentary film, Fantastic Fungi, this piece and others were created to celebrate the beauty of the fungus world all around us.
This was painted on 300 pound Fabriano hot pressed watercolor paper, using watercolors, gouache, iridescent medium, and pen. In-person this piece is colorful and shimmery.
The painting itself is approximately 4x6" with a small border. Dimensions are not exact. It is framed in a 5x7" frame with a white painted wood frame and glass. Total outer dimensions of the frame are 7"x9". The back is equipped with a hanging wire, as well as a stand so it may be hung on the wall or propped on a table.
This listing is to purchase the ORIGINAL piece of signed art. This is NOT a print. This comes framed, wrapped up carefully to avoid breakage in shipping.
